David Smith Artist and Designer for Famous Card Games
I’m David Smith and I developed Famous Card Games to pursue my love of games and painted artwork. My first game, Nuclear Bro-liferation is a fun cooperative battle game with painted cards inspired by GI Joe card art of the 80’s and the infamous Mars Attacks cards from the 50’s. This game is a starting point for many future card games and expansions that have a lot of satirical humor, painted comic art, and fun gameplay. I hope you enjoy the many offerings of Famous Card Games in the future.
I worked in comics for many years as a colorist for popular comics, first at Extreme Studios in the last century, and then in our century for Marvel and DC comics. I have also worked in graphic design and animation as a background painter. Currently I teach a few classes in digital design, so I have plenty of time to pursue my card game plan of world domination – that is, to make games that everyone enjoys to play. I am also looking for freelance board and card game work, so send me an email if my art style fits your project.
